“Today”

 

Look at me today.

A proud smile on my face,

A friendly warmth embraces me.

 

Look at me today.

I’m not running away!

I’m not afraid!

 

Look at you today.

Sheltered

Secluded

 

Look at you today.

A tear streams down your face.

Fear of what might happen etched upon your heart.

 

Listen to me today.

No need to be afraid.

No need to run away.

 

Listen to me today.

Shout it from the rooftops.

“Everybody I’m Gay”
