Yesterday and today’s update.
Yesterday, I got up, showered, fed myself, took my meds and went for my iron infusion. I ran a bunch of errands afterward, came home and promptly fell asleep.
Today has been different.
I haven’t done much, and I’m still in bed. I did manage to eat and take my meds, though. I have a Whatnot show scheduled for 4 p.m., so I’ll shower before the show and try to be online for a little while. I have a massive headache today, probably because it’s supposed to rain later, so we’ll see how long I actually last.
I have managed to start incorporating my poetry from this year into my book.
The new title is The Last Five Years That Turned Into Six.
The book was nearly complete, but after my mom passed, publishing it without including the poems I’ve written this year just didn’t feel right anymore. So much has happened, and so much of it has found its way into my writing. Leaving 2026 out would mean leaving out a part of my story that has changed me completely.
I’ve set a new target release date of February 2027. It gives me time to add this year’s work without rushing myself through something that deserves the time and space to become whatever it needs to be.
I’m also working on another project that means a lot to me. It’s a custom jewelry piece dedicated to my mom. I’m not going to share too much about it yet, but once it’s manufactured and I have something tangible to show everyone, I’ll share more.
So I guess I’m creating again.
Maybe not at the pace I used to. Maybe not consistently. Some days I can work, and some days getting out of bed still feels like work.
But the ideas are still there.
The writing is still there.
The art is still there.
And apparently, so am I.
Stay tuned.
