Okay Mom, I see You

This had to have been a sign from my mom.

I opened the door to let Beaker out, and somehow this little bird flew right into my house.

Of all the places it could have gone, it came inside my home.

A few days ago, a cardinal was sitting outside the church when I went to plan Mom’s funeral Mass. Today, the day after I said goodbye to her, this little visitor showed up inside my house.

Maybe some people would call it a coincidence.

I don’t really care.

Today, I needed it to be my mom.

So that’s what I’m choosing to believe.

Okay, Mom.

I see you.

And I miss you too.
