Today’s update.
I showered. I left the house. I got my iron infusion. I got caught in some wild weather, but I made it home safe. Now I’m waiting for my lunch to be delivered.
And I took my meds!
After lunch, I think I’ll go back to moping around for a while. I have another infusion tomorrow, so I’ll have to get myself up and out of the house again.
Today marks one week since I got the call that changed my life forever.
One week.
How?
How has an entire week passed already when it feels like it just happened?
There are moments when I still expect everything to be the way it was. Then I remember that it isn’t, and somehow I have to keep moving through the day anyway.
So today I showered. I left the house. I took care of something I needed to do for myself. I ate. I took my meds.
And now I’m going to mope around.
I think I’ve earned it.
