A little over a week ago, I shared that a new chapter was coming to FRDCreations, and I couldn’t wait to tell you all about it.
Then life changed in an instant.
I lost my mom.
The past week has been one of the hardest of my life, and for a little while I wasn’t sure how to move forward. If I’m being honest, I’m still not entirely sure. Grief doesn’t come with a roadmap, and I’m learning to navigate it one day at a time. But if there’s one thing my mom taught me, it’s that life is meant to be lived, even when it’s messy.
And if my parents taught me anything else, it’s that the spark doesn’t have an expiration date. They were living proof that love, laughter, and intimacy don’t disappear just because we grow older. Their marriage reminded me that growing older doesn’t mean giving up on connection, affection, or desire. In many ways, that’s part of what inspired this next chapter.
So today, even with a heart that’s still grieving, I’m proud to officially introduce…
Own Your Splash
A Sexual Wellness Boutique by FRDCreations LLC
This boutique is being built with the same values that have always guided FRDCreations. Kindness. Inclusivity. Accessibility. Education. Compassion. And a healthy dose of humor.
My goal is to create a welcoming space where people of every age, every ability, every gender identity, every sexual orientation, and every relationship can find products that help them embrace intimacy, confidence, pleasure, and connection without shame or judgment.
This isn’t just about products. It’s about continuing a conversation I’ve believed in for a long time. Sexual wellness is wellness. It deserves to be talked about openly, respectfully, and without shame. My hope is that this boutique becomes a place where everyone feels welcome, represented, and empowered.
I know you wouldn’t want me to stop creating, Mom. I hope I’m making you proud. I’ll carry you with me into this next chapter.
To everyone who has reached out, checked on me, shared a memory, sent flowers, or simply been here, thank you. Your kindness has carried me through some incredibly dark days.
I’m not done grieving. I probably won’t be for a very long time, if ever.
I still have to say goodbye.
On August 1, we’ll finally be celebrating my mom’s life. The wait has been difficult, but she was deeply religious, and the church she faithfully called home for so many years wasn’t available until then. I know she would have wanted it there, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way.
But I know my mom wouldn’t want me to stop living.
So I’m taking the next step.
