What grief looks like.
Sometimes grief looks like tears. Sometimes it looks like screaming, anger, or trying desperately to keep yourself busy so you don’t have to think.
And sometimes it looks like this.
Me, lying in bed today, severely depressed and unable to make myself get up. My sweet boy curled up beside me, giving me comfort even though I know he’s grieving too. We’ve both lost so much, and today the weight of it all just feels heavier than I can carry.
So I’m not getting up today.
And I know that’s okay.
Day by day. That’s all I can do. Some days I’ll accomplish a hundred things. Some days getting through the day is the accomplishment. Today is one of those days.
And to the people who placed orders in my shop today, thank you. Truly. I love you for continuing to support me and my little business through all of this. I promise your orders will be packaged and shipped tomorrow, still well within my 24-hour turnaround time.
But I can’t do it today.
Today, life is just too heavy.
So for now, I’m going to stay right here with my boy and let today be what it needs to be.
Tomorrow can have tomorrow. ❤️
